Voteless People Is A Hopeless People

Voter Registration Drive

“A Voteless People is a Hopeless People” was initiated as a National Program of Alpha Phi Alpha during the 1930’s when many African-Americans had the right to vote but were prevented from voting because of poll taxes, threats of reprisal, and lack of education about the voting process. Voter education and registration have remained a dominant focus of this outreach activity for over 65 years. The Xi Phi Lambda Chapter continues the legacy of A Voteless People is a Hopeless People through Voter Registration drives throughout the Lowcountry.

The Xi Phi Lambda Chapter prides itself on our reclamation. Each year we partner with other local graduate chapters in Beaufort, Orangeburg, and Charleston to have a Brotherhood Cook-Off and Cookout.
